Nick Karettis is the owner of The Mad Greek food truck. Nick was adopted from Greece as an infant. His adopted parents were of Greek origin but in 2017 Nick connected with his biological mother. A few months later, he traveled to Chios, Greece to meet his family.

The Mad Greek all started with a dream, literally. Nick had a dream that he started a Greek food truck called "The Mad Greek". Nick is well-known for his spontaneity and within 6 months had his first truck designed and shipped to Atlanta.

Nick's goal is to serve the best traditional Greek food Atlanta has to offer; the food he grew up eating as a child. Nick takes pride in Greek heritage and his passion shines through the food he  makes. He hopes to bring Greek culture to the city of Atlanta and joy to everyone who gets in line at his truck!

"Outstanding! Everything is homemade and and you can tell. I come from NY and I grew up eating a lot of Greek food as there are tons of Greek Restaurants up there. Nick holds his own to my pretty high standards. I thoroughly enjoyed the dolmares, gyro and baklava!"

"Authentic Greek favorites, outstanding food, top notch service - all served with a smile. What more could you ask for from a traditional food truck?"

"Fantastic Greek food! Try it once and you'll be hooked. The best spanakopita I've ever tasted. Delicious baklava -- just right, flaky, delicate, not cloyingly sweet. Perfect dolmades. Great people, great service. Looking forward to sharing my new favorite with family & friend."

Jodi H.

"Best gyro I've had! Even better than ones I've had in Greektown in Chicago!!"

Kiara D.

"The best Greek food you'll find anytime anywhere without exception. All time favorite lamb gyro is a must try--hearty portion of lamb, dressed all the way with 5-star tzaziki, the freshest veggies. Nut roll a must try dessert. I'll be back!!!!"
